At Superior Jiu Jitsu, we recognize the many benefits that come with training in this martial art. Our classes are designed to teach the fundamentals of jiu jitsu, as well as to help our students become confident and competent in self-protection. Jiu jitsu is an excellent form of exercise that helps build strength, endurance and flexibility. Additionally, it provides a great opportunity to challenge yourself and grow both physically and mentally.

BEGINNER
Class
Monday - Thursdays
OPTION 1 | MORNING CLASS
7:00 - 8:00am
(Tuesday & Thursday, NO GI)
OPTION 2 | EVENING CLASS
7:15-8:15pm
(This Class is Always GI)
It is all about the foundation. Our beginners methodology, or the curriculum that we use, is essential to set the beginner’s path to success.
The curriculum consists of 20 classes and teaches the student to use techniques, progression of the fight, and connection of techniques to achieve a safe submission.
Self-defense is part of the curriculum, so it is suitable for anyone interested in working on the basics and practical jiu jitsu and gives a great foundation for sport jiu jitsu.
Once the student has completed those 20 classes on the curriculum 3 times, or 60 classes total, the student is ready to join our Intermediate class and start sparring. (Also known as ‘rolling’).
INTERMEDIATE
Class
Monday - Thursday 6:00pm - 7:00pm
Intermediate Classes are suitable for a White Belt with 2 stripes and higher. The program has 36 classes and it is when the student starts to understand the connections between different positions and combinations of moves to achieve the submission or ‘points’ as it relates to sport jiu jitsu. This class contains specific positional training and traditional sparring.
NO GI
Class
The Gi (uniform) is absent. Typically students wear board shorts and a tight fitting shirt (rash guard). In order to control your training partner you have to use different grips.
No Gi is faster and a more aggressive style of jiu-jitsu, but equally challenging mentally. We suggest our students practice both Gi and No Gi classes as it one serves as complementary to the other.
